Through this funding opportunity, the Foundation seeks to support timely access to newborn hearing healthcare through the implementation of navigator programs. Frequently Asked Questions

Please direct any additional questions to grants@oberkotterfoundation.org.

Can multiple organizations apply together?

Yes. Multiple organizations can apply together unless otherwise specified in the published request for proposals (RFP). However, any proposals developed in partnership with multiple organizations must be submitted by a single lead organization. Letters of support from all partnering organizations must be included with the application. If funded, the lead organization will be responsible for managing and disbursing funds and submitting all required reports to the Foundation.

Are current and former grantees eligible?

Yes. Both current and former grantees of the Oberkotter Foundation are eligible to apply for any published request for proposals (RFP).

Is there a budget cap?

Unless otherwise specified in the published request for proposals (RFP), there is no maximum or minimum budget for grant opportunities. However, reasonable budget justification is required for all proposals.

Can I include indirect costs in my budget?

No. The Foundation does not fund indirect costs. All budgeted items must be clearly tied to direct project expenses.

What criteria are used to evaluate applications?

Applications are evaluated across multiple dimensions, including—but not limited to—the clarity and strength of the project goals and plan, potential impact, the applicant’s capacity to execute the work, and alignment with the Foundation’s mission and priorities. For additional details related to a specific opportunity, please consult the published request for proposals (RFP).

What is the best way to find out when a grant opportunity becomes available?

All published requests for proposals (RFP) are posted on the Foundation’s website. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates about the work of the Foundation, including any future funding opportunities.
